Possession of a firearm and/or ammunition after conviction of a “qualifying” home violence misdemeanor is a federal crime beneath Section 922. Generally, the misdemeanor will “qualify” if the conviction was for against the law dedicated by an intimate companion, father or mother or guardian of the victim that required the usage of tried use of physical pressure or the threatened use of a deadly weapon.
